I'm no graphic designer, but I’ve played a bit with Photoshop during my time at Uni and there's some things I'm sort of proud of. Here's a showcase of them.

Technology Puzzle by The Terminator

Fake electronic music album cover

This was a fake electronic music album cover I designed as an assignment for my Bachelor of Audio Production at SAE.

Apocalypse

Apocalypse poster

Another SAE assignment, this time it was a poster I made to promote a fake zombie apocalypse video game. You can watch the trailer I made for the game below:

Manuella’s B-Day Party

Poster for Manuella’s birthday party

A poster I made for my wife’s 23rd birthday party where I DJ’d with some friends. It shows Manuella pretending to play with a DJ Hero turntable.

Replay

Poster for Replay night

A poster I made for an 80's influenced night where I held residency for a few months. You can listen to an 80's DJ set I made below:

3D Man Project

3D Man Project logo

A logo I made for my 3D Man Project, featured on my last post. It was inspired by The Terminator, due to the slight similarity between the Series 800 robot and my binaural dummy head. It was rendered using Autodesk Maya.

One thing I’ve learned while doing these, whether as part of an assignment or for work, is that being creative takes research skills and patience. Research skills because I invested a lot of time in finding good sources of inspiration. I also spent a fair bit of time looking for online tutorials on how to do certain things, like applying 3D texture. And patience because learning new software and following online tutorials takes effort and is time consuming. Don’t let that get in the way though. Looking back, I think it was time well spent. :)
